Topic B: Biotechnological applications to improve the utilisation of biomass
We are open to collaboration in any consortium exploring innovative biomass utilization strategies involving algae. Our research group offer expertise in algae biotechnology, including (but not limited):
- Cultivation and bioprocess optimization of micro- and filamentous algae.
- Innovative approaches for textile fibers production from algae (filamentous algae).
- Biomass valorization for biofuels, bioplastics, and high-value compounds.
- Integration of algal systems with wastewater or CO2 utilization for circular bioeconomy applications.
