Improved resilience and health of crops
At Fraunhofer IMM, we specialize in miniaturizing processes and technologies using microstructure technology and transferring them to new areas of application. In this way, we enable cost and resource savings and unlock new fields of business.
We are looking for a consortium in which we can contribute our expertise in a purposeful way. Specifically, we offer
- Microorganism and cell count determination / pathogen detection in various media (plant diseases, bacteria in water, etc.)
- Fully automated online ion analysis in liquids,
- Real-time measurement of turbidity and conductivity,
- online microtitrator for process control,
- Automated preparation / purification of complex samples.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Microengineering and Microsystems IMM is part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V. - the world’s leading applied research organization. We are engaged in research and development in the three divisions of Chemistry, Energy and Diagnostics. Our scientists perform the transfer from the scientific idea towards innovation.
The Division DIAGNOSTICS deals with analytical and diagnostic systems for personalized healthcare, patient monitoring and with environmental analysis, particularly in form of pathogen detection, water analysis and nanotoxicology. Our main target is the miniaturization and automation of complex laboratory procedures and equipment to give access to a wide range of biological data of a specimen very fast and directly on-site.
In the Division CHEMISTRY, we focus on improving chemical production processes in terms of product properties, efficiency, sustainability and safety.
In the Division ENERGY we deal with current and future issues concerning the mobile and decentralized provision and storage of electrical energy with a stronger focus on sustainable energy sources.
