Topic B: Biotechnological applications to improve the utilisation of biomass
We are looking for partners, especially in the area of:
1. Biomass Pretreatment & Hydrolysis
- Experts or companies working on biomass-to-sugar conversion technologies
2. Process Scale-Up
- Research groups or institutions with expertise in fermentation scale-up and/or separation technologies.
- Potential access to pilot plant facilities.
3. Techno-Economic & Life Cycle Assessment
- Institutions or groups experienced in TEA, LCA, and carbon footprint modeling for emerging biotech processes.
In case you are unsure, if your organisation fits to us, feel free to get in touch, and we can figure it out!
Dahlia Biotech is pioneering the fermentative production of biobased platform chemicals, with a focus on small organic acids. Our mission: to provide scalable, cost-efficient, and low-emission alternatives to petrochemical products, driving the transition toward a net-zero future.
Our Strengths:
- Versatile Feedstock Utilization: Our anaerobic fermentation process is compatible with various sugar streams from biomass, making us highly adaptable to different input sources.
- Energy-Efficient Purification: We've developed an innovative downstream technology that enables the energy-reduced separation of small organic acids from fermentation broth—proven at lab scale and ready for pilot validation.
We are based in Munich, Germany, and are mainly looking for partners from other participating countries.
Let’s build the future of bioeconomy together!
