I am an expert on the microbial diversity and metabolic pathways of anaerobic digestion process. I am interested in collaborating with partners focusing on increasing biomethane, bioplastic or volatile fatty acid production from waste through understanding and manipulating microbial populations underlying the anaerobic digestion of industrial/municipal waste.

I can use a range of molecular/genetic tools and approaches including sequencing, metagenomics, metatranscrtiptomics and stable-isotope probing.
