We are interested in applying our expertise in generative AI and embedded AI in projects related to agriculture and climate-smart farming. Our expertise includes AI-driven analysis of sensor and imaging data for real-time process monitoring, automated quality control, and decision support. We would like to help consortia in Topic B with these capabilities, e.g., to increase process efficiency, product quality, and sustainability in biotechnological conversion and valorization of biomass.
At Fraunhofer IMS, we specialize in cutting-edge research and development, focusing on high-performance sensors and embedded AI. Our goal is to apply this expertise to the food sector, covering every stage of the food chain, from farm to fork!
We have successfully secured funding for a GEH project in the 2nd call (FarmScan), in which will enable remote field analysis via biodegradable soil sensors and provide farmers with AI-based decision support.
